Woke up 3 hours late. Should have been at the internship at 8:00 which means a 6:00 wake up. Text them let them know I’ll be there ASAP.
Almost ready to leave and mom gets a phone call, family friend who we go to church with died last night in a farming accident.
Several minutes later, on the way to internship, my car hydroplanes in the rain exiting the road backwards sliding over a bank and coming to rest in a hay field. Not hurt and car didn’t suffer anything other than some minor cosmetic damage. Pics to come later when I can assess everything. Car covered in mud though

The thing is I wasn’t hurrying. I was actually going 5 under because of the conditions. My tires are just about bald on the rear though. That’s called being broke. But yeah I definitely agree that hurrying when late is a no go.
